As far as running the server itself, Debian Linux does a lot to help the administrator and makes life very easy. As far as getting this blog running, WordPress does a lot of the work, too. The real heavy-lifting that I have to do with the server is adding content to the blog and screwing around with the Minecraft server. Everything else, once it’s set up, requires little maintenance, besides the usual maintenance, system checks, etc.

As far as what I do for a living, being able to do the stuff I do on this website is considered compulsory for a sysadmin/sysengineer. ;-) Thanks for the compliments!
