Towns on Eagleworld

Eagleworld has always been about towns, and now it is easier than ever to make your own town on Eagleworld!  Creating a town and building together entitles you to certain protections and perks that you do not get by building in the wilderness.  If you want to start your journey towards making your own town, start here!

Quick Guide to WorldGuard Administration

Rather than creating a guide myself, I've linked these comprehensive guides on the WorldGuard wiki:

Settlement Rank - Unofficial Town

Every town starts as a settlement.  To start your settlement, all you have to do is pick a spot and start building!  Make sure it's a prime area with plenty of space to expand to ensure you won't get pushed up against other towns and settlements in the future.

As you build up your town, you will get more and more perks from Eagleworld as you further develop.

Village Rank - Official Town Status

Requirements

  • The Mayor (you!) must be of Artisan rank or higher
  • An area for the town and a rough plan for future expansion
  • A total of three members (including y0u) of Builder rank or higher pledging to join your town and make it their primary residence
  • A home for each citizen of town
  • Laid-out plots for future town citizens
  • A name, theme, and a minimum one paragraph worth of ideas for the future
  • A town hall of significant size (minimum 16x32)
  • Town rules clearly planted in the town hall or some other public location in town
  • A location for the town to connect to the Eagleworld Highway System

Submitting your Application

Once you have all this, you can create your formal town application in the Help Desk forum.  It should be appropriately titled (e.g. New Town Application - Capitol City) and include all of the information about the above (which members are joining, coordinates of the area, etc.).

Once your application is evaluated by an Admin, they will either help you finish your application or approve you for official township!

Village Perks

  • A WorldGuard region covering your town location which can be fully administrated by the Town Mayor
  • A town warp point anyone can use, warping to the location of the mayor's choice (in town or near the town limits, for example)
  • A connection to the Eagleworld Highway System, either going through town or near it (Mayor's choice)

Township Rank

To get a rankup past this point, a thread is required in the Help Desk forum each time, pointing out the additions to the town as specified in the requirements below.

  • A renewable food source for the town, such as farms, ranches, etc.
  • One additional public building of the Mayor's choosing
  • Allocated plots for further town citizens
  • An area near the highway to create a subway station
  • Further detailed plans for the town's future
