Donations

Eagleworld has not accepted donations for a long time due to it being so cheap to run.  However, with Delorean (Eagleworld.net's server) getting old and needing replacement, I am accepting donations that will go towards a replacement server.  Now you can donate to show your appreciation for Eagleworld and to help make the server better than ever!

Donation Perks

In exchange for helping Eagleworld pay for its server replacement, Any users of Builder rank of higher donating at least $5 will be given some perks as a thank you for your contribution.  These perks are designed to make gameplay a bit more fun, but not give you an unfair advantage against non-donators.

Why a $5 Minimum?

PayPal charges me money for accepting your donations.  In addition to taking a percentage cut, they also take a flat rate as well.  Donations less than $5 aren't worth your money donating, as PayPal gets too much of it.  I'd rather you wait and donate so more of your money gets to me and used for the replacement server.

Why Builders or higher?

Until users reach the Builder rank, they are still restricted in what they can do and won't benefit fully from the donation perks.  For example, having an mcMMO xp boost doesn't help when you don't have access to mcMMO yet.  Also, I don't want to accept money from brand new players.  I want to ensure the player is going to stick around for a while and enjoy the server they are donating to.  Otherwise, I would not be comfortable accepting your money.

Permanent Donator Perks

Anybody who donates at least $5 to the server will be given the following perks permanently:

• Dollar sign symbols around your rank in gold
• Use of /hat in-game (sets the block in your hand as a hat...now you can be a hat whore just like in TF2!)
• Donator status on the Minecraft Forums and use of the Donator Forum
• Added to the Hall of Donors on the Blog

What Perks you do NOT Receive:

• Ability to bypass Bans/Kicks
• Buying Rank-ups
• Ability to break the rules without punishment

Donating does not, in any way, give players special dispensations over and above non-donators.  If you grief someone's house, you will still be banned, regardless of how much you've contributed.  Please keep in mind that donating is a way of saying "Thanks" to Eagleworld, and these perks are a thank-you in return, nothing else.  No guarantees of anything are made by a donation.

Donation Perk Packages

When you donate to Eagleworld, you can select one of several donation packages which give you a certain set of perks for 1 month on the server.  Take a look at the packages below and choose what you like!

Basic Package - $5 For donating $5, you receive the following perks for 1 month: Ability to join the server even if it is full Use of the /nick command to choose a nickname for yourself Use of Minecraft text codes on in-game chat Use of Minecraft text codes on signs Use of the /firework command to modify fireworks All of the permanent perks listed above		1 Month - $5 3 Months - $15
